On Wednesday, September 27th, the Women’s Bond Club held its annual kick-off President’s Cocktail Party. The event was held at the mid-town offices of JP Morgan and was jointly sponsored by JP Morgan’s Investment Bank Women’s Committee (IBWC) and MBIA.
Members and potential members had the opportunity to network for the first hour. At 7PM, Anahaita Kotval, Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel, RBS Greenwich Capital Markets, welcomed the group to another year of interesting events. Anahaita, WBC Co-President, then highlighted some of the plans for this year’s events including the “Rising Star’ program, “Merit Award Dinner” in the spring and a new program, the “Senior Women’s Program” targeted toward senior leadership. She also introduced the various committees and their respective chairs.
MBIA joined WBC as a new sponsor this year. Andrea Randolph, CTO and Managing Director, MBIA, also welcomed the group and said that MBIA was excited to be a part of the WBC. They look forward to participating in other events and sponsorship opportunities.
